Jan. 20 Governor Dodge State Park candlelight event cancelled
DODGEVILLE, Wis. - A candlelight ski and hike scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20 at Governor Dodge State Park has been cancelled. Warm temperatures are melting the snow that fell this week and is creating icy conditions on the trails.

Draft management plan for Pierce County Islands Wildlife Area available for public input
BALDWIN, Wis. - Maintenance of quality floodplain forest and wetland habitats and continued emphasis on the traditional outdoor recreational activities of hunting, fishing, and trapping are the primary objectives of a draft Tier 3 management plan for the Pierce County Islands Wildlife Area, located on the Mississippi River near the Village of Bay City in Pierce County.The public can review and comment on the draft management plan during the comment period, which is open from January 16 through February 6, 2018.

Recreational Boating Facilities Grants are now available
MADISON- The Department of Natural Resources is again accepting grant applications for Recreational Boating Facilities grant funds. The application postmark deadline is February 1, 2018. Counties, towns, cities, villages, American Indian tribes, sanitary districts, public inland lake protection and rehabilitation districts, and qualified lake associations, are eligible to apply for funds to undertake recreational boating facility projects.
